Electrical / Electronics

This department is headed by Mr. Mohamed Dumbuya. As at now, he has no assistant. Administration is planning to recruit another staff to help him in training the student. In this department, they repair all sorts electronics gargets such as television sets, plasma TV, all types of phones, DVDs, stabilizers, etc.

Like all other departments, this department has trained students in electrical / electronics sponsored by ONCHA (2004 – 2005), NMJD (2005 – 2006), YMCA (2006 – 2007), CHILD FUND (2012 – 2013), CARD –SL (2014 – 2016)

Tailoring/ Embroidery

The department is headed by Mr. Mustapha Madiho assisted by five (5) other teachers. It is the largest department at the Centre with more than forty (40) trainees.

They train students in the sewing of different types of garments and needle work. During the outbreak of Corona (COVID – 19) They sewed large quantity of face masks which was distributed to communities across the district. The department also participated in the training of students sponsored by partners as stated in the electronics department.

Hairdressing / Cosmetology

The head of department is Miss Jeneba Koroma assisted by one teacher. In the Hairdressing/ Cosmetology, they design hair and do manicure, pedicure, Beautification, make- up etc.

This department has graduated several students between 2005 and 2016 with sponsor from different partners listed in the two departments above.

Metal / Welding

Mr. Gbessay Moseray is the head of this department. He has no assistant teacher as yet. However, when the need arise, Administration will recruit another staff to assist him in teaching.

Both theory and practical work is being done in this department. They produce metal doors and windows of different designs and sizes. Several trainees have gone through this department between 2005 and 2016.

Blacksmithery

The Head of this department is Mr. David Sandi. He too has no assistance. Like all other departments who don’t not have an assistant, Administration hope to recruit another qualified staff to join him in the department.

This department produces local agricultural tools and implements such as cutlasses, khodali hoe, hoes, rakes, shovels, axe, digging fork etc. They also produce local locks, stoves, replace lost keys etc. They have graduated trainees under funds provided by Child Fund, ONCHA, NMJD, CARD-SL and YMCA Between 2005 AND 2016.

Catering / Food Management

Two teachers man this department namely Mrs. Melrose Karimu and Miss Harishatu Sow. This department prepare trainees in catering and food preservation, Kitchen management, Hygiene practices and Food and Nutrition.

This department also do catering services to offices, private sector and individuals. During their practical work, hey sell food to members of the community.

Information Communication and Technology

Mr. James Golia is the Head of this department assisted by Mr. Foday Sorie Mansaray. Training in this department is free of cost for Persons with Disability. Other members of the public will pay for each program they want to pursue.
